Al is student of the game and tireless worker, who is of the rare breed who absolutely loves the game. One gets the feeling that if there was no cameras or multi-million dollar contracts he would be playing with the same effort and tenacity. After living with Antonio Davis as a rookie in a lockout shortened season, he is finding tutoring from coach Bird and ABA Pacer coach Bobby Slick Leonard. All of those around Al have recognized the potential for him to be a special player and a natural born leader on and off the court. Al is a potential all star who has the ability to score inside and out. Al has the footspeed and athleticism to be a 2 and the strength and leaping ability to play the 4. He shows that he is part of the new NBA that demands a player transcends position and just plays at an incredible level. He is at times completely unstoppable offensively and dominating defensively.
